David Warner seems to be invoking divine power for the upcoming IPL 2024 clash between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Warner, known for his aggressive batting style, recently shared a photo on social media featuring Lord Hanuman’s statue at Hanumanthawaka Junction in Vizag.

Within just 30 minutes of it’s upload, Warner’s Instagram post gained huge traction, garnering over 1,74,000 likes and over 5,000 comments. Warner’s social media activity has often reflected his appreciation for Indian culture. Earlier this year, he shared greetings on the occasion of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

How has David Warner performed in IPL 2024 so far?

Featuring only as a player this time, David Warner has started his IPL 2024 campaign on a high note for the Capitals. Although the franchise have won only one game thus far, Warner has been DC’s highest run-scorer with 130 runs at an average of 43.33.

The Australian southpaw made 29 in the first match against Punjab Kings before top-scoring for his side with a 34-ball 49 against Rajasthan Royals. However, Warner’s best knock in IPL 2024 thus far came against the Chennai Super Kings when he made a match-winning 52 in 35 balls against the defending champions. DC are set to meet KKR in Match 16 in Vizag on Wednesday.
