MI fans ‘behave’ after Virat Kohli’s appeal, cheer MI captain Hardik Pandya in rare sight

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya didn't hesitate to strike a six as the crowd at Wankhede cheered him on for the first time in IPL 2024

Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya was greeted with cheers from the crowd after striking a six at Wankhede stadium. Pandya, who replaced Rohit Sharma as the MI skipper ahead of IPL 2024, has been booed at venues across India so far. This time around, the fans at Mumbai decided to back their captain as they cheered on while he batted.

RCB batter Virat Kohli was also seen urging fans in Mumbai to cheer Hardik Pandya as the MI skipper batted. And right on cue, the MI fans started cheering for their skipper after the King’s request.

As the crowd chanted ‘Hardik, Hardik’, the MI skipper responed with a six. The response from the crowd resonated across the Wankhede stadium as the fans continued to cheer on Pandya. MI are chasing a 197-run target that was set by RCB.
