DC skipper David Warner has been the biggest culprit as he is yet to hit a six after 6 games. With the entire batting unit barring him struggling, Warner has been forced to play defensively. Although he improved his strike rate in the last match against KKR, he is striking at just 120.76, the lowest among the Top 10 of Orange Cap leaders.
On Sunday, they will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are equally struggling. However, the match is more important to DC than SRH who have 4 points.
A loss could very well be the end of Delhi Capitals’ hopes of making it to the playoffs. DC have 2 points but need to win 8 out of 8 to secure the playoff spot. While 16 points or 7 wins out of last 8 may help them make the cut but DC will have to depend on other results to go in their favour.
