Mayank st Dhoni b Jadeja (13.5): In the next over, Dhoni was at his best once again. Mayank tried to come down the track and take on Ravindra Jadeja. But he missed the line completely and Dhoni was lightning quick behind the stumps and within a fraction of a second, he dismissed Mayank.
Washington Sundar run out Dhoni (19.6): But it was the run-out of Washington Sundar off the last ball that reminded fans of Dinesh Karthik. Dhoni was keeping afar from the wickets with Matheesha Pathirana bowling the last ball to Marco Jansen. With Jansen missing the brilliant delivery, a super-accurate Dhoni shattered the stumps with a direct hit before Washington Sundar could reach the crease.
In a similar situation, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the match to Lucknow Super Giants after Dinesh Karthik fumbled on the last ball. He made a mess of the ball despite taking his gloves off as Avesh Khan took a single to win the match for LSG.
