DC vs SRH: IPL 2023 – Delhi Capitals captain David Warner has been fined Rs. 12 lahks for maintaining a slow over-rate during the 34th match of IPL 2023. In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Delhi Capitals failed to maintain the over-rate during the game. DC vs SRH: David Warner Fined Rs 12 Lakhs

The Delhi Capitals had an unimpressive campaign in the 16th season of IPL. However, they displayed an outstanding performance against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which led to their victory. Though they committed a minor blip in the form of slow over-rate offense, their overall performance was impressive. The team needs to maintain a good over-rate in their future matches to avoid any penalties.

While the slow over-rate was the responsibility of the entire team, as the captain of Delhi Capitals, David Warner was held responsible and fined for the offence. Delhi Capitals Dominated Sunrisers Hyderabad

In the SRH vs DC match on April 25, Delhi Capitals posted a moderate total of 144 runs while batting first. Manish Pandey and Axar Patel were the top-run getter for the DC with 34 runs each. In the bowling department, Axar Patel shines again alongside Anrich Nortje with 2 wickets each. Axar Patel was awarded player of the match for his splendid all-round performance.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals are preparing to host the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their reverse fixture. The match is scheduled to be played on Saturday, April 29th, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Both teams will be eager to secure a victory, as the tournament progresses towards its later stages.
