A brilliant partnership with Abhishek Sharma

Reflecting on his partnership with Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head emphasized the synergy between them, attributing their success to mutual confidence. He expressed satisfaction with his batting form and praised the aggressive approach of SRH’s batters against RCB’s bowlers.

“Abhishek (Sharma) and I complement each other very well. We feed off each other’s confidence. I’m loving batting with him,” he further added.

Accepting the player of the match award, Head acknowledged the favourable playing surface and highlighted SRH’s strategy to capitalize on the batting-friendly conditions from the outset.

“The surface played beautifully. We did get a feedback from the groundsmen. We thought we had to adapt in the opening six overs. But we had the batting order and they had the license to after the bowlers,” Travis Head said while accepting the player of the match award after the game.

In his debut season with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Head has consistently performed well, forming a formidable opening partnership with Abhishek Sharma. Their ability to take on bowlers was evident once again as they dominated Reece Topley and Yash Dayal.

Head’s innings, comprising 9 boundaries and 8 sixes, came to an end in the 13th over when he was dismissed by Lockie Ferguson after scoring a phenomenal 102 runs off just 41 balls. His remarkable feat places him among the elite company of IPL centurions, behind only Chris Gayle, Yusuf Pathan, and David Miller in terms of speed.
