Batters with most fifty-plus scores in Test cricket ft. Joe Root

England batting wizard Joe Root is performing magic once again, and now he has etched his name in yet another elite record list.

100 fifties plus scores is surely a remarkable record! And now, Joe Root has etched his name in that elite list. First, Three Lions made 280 runs, and then, after bowling New Zealand out for 125 in the ongoing second Test, England extended their lead with a brilliant batting display, led by Ben Duckett’s 92 and Jacob Bethell’s 96. When Joe Root walked out at No. 4, he continued to shine for the visitors in the Wellington Test, registering his fifth Test fifty in 2024, adding to his five centuries. But what really stole the spotlight was that the England wizard reached 100 fifties plus scores.
