It looks like Babar Azam is all set to return as Pakistan skipper, replacing Shaheen Afridi. As per reports, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam are considered front-runners for leading the side in T20 World Cup 2024.

Babar Azam to return as Paksitan skipper ahead of T20 World Cup?

As per Cricket Paksitan, PCB is leaning towards appointing Babar Azam as the side’s skipper for T20 World Cup. However, ESPNCricinfo claims that Azam is yet to accept the offer. Rizwan is being considered the alternative if Babar doesn’t accept. It is pertinent out that Shaheen will be replaced after leading the side in just one series (vs NZ), if done so.
