David Warner has played his last international game in his home country, Australia. The southpaw has already announced his retirement from Test and ODI cricket but will continue to play T20I cricket for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Having already made the announcement prior, the AUS vs WI 3rd Test in Perth is his final home game in international cricket.
The Australian legend bid his home adieu by scoring a sizzling 81 in the last game and got the ‘Player of the Series’ award for scoring 173 runs in the 3-match series. Before leaving his home arena for the final time, David Warner decided to gift his award to a young fan.
The opener had done something similar at the SCG last month when he gifted his batting gloves and Australian helmet to young fans in the crowd after playing his final Test inning.
