Most of the members of Team India have reached the USA and have started their preparations for the T20 World Cup 2024. Virat Kohli, however, is yet to leave India and is enjoying a break after a hectic IPL 2024 season. Kohli on Tuesday was spotted coming out of a restaurant after having dinner. Along with wife Anushka Sharma, former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan, his wife Sagarika Ghatge and talk show host Gaurav Kapoor was also spotted with Kohli.
Kohli’s stellar IPL season
Kohli has had a blockbuster IPL season where he took home the Orange Cap – given to the highest run-scorer of every IPL season. The RCB batter was in blistering form and scored runs at will in spite of RCB somewhat struggling throughout the tournament. Kohli scored 741 runs in 15 matches, over 150 runs more than the next contender Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Will Kohli play India’s warm-up match
Although RCB suffered a heartbreak after winning six matches on the trot to reach the playoff stage, Kohli continued his run-scoring spree. India would be hoping Kohli takes his form to the T20 World Cup 2024. He has been given an extended break and will join the team before Team India’s warm-up match against Bangladesh. It remains to be seen if he plays in the match.
