On Monday, Mumbai Indians (MI) officially announced the acquisition of Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans, generating widespread anticipation for what is considered the most astonishing trade in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the upcoming 2024 season. Concurrently, the five-time champions confirmed the trade of Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), concluding what stands out as the costliest trade in the history of the IPL.

It’s worth noting that MI bought Green for a whopping Rs 17.5 Cr from auction last season. However, MI had to release him due to Pandya’s hefty INR 15 crore salary cap.
