For the grand show, BCCI have finalized Arijit Singh as the artist to perform before the start of the epic clash.

For the uninitiated, BCCI had earlier planned the opening ceremony before the start of the WC opener between NZ vs ENG on October 5. They also roped in artists like Asha Bhosle, Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, Ranveer Singh, and Tamanhaa Bhatia for the event. However, there was no opening ceremony as BCCI canceled last minute. Fans were mighty upset with BCCI for not organizing the opening ceremony for an event like the World Cup.
