Before the national anthems, Bangladesh and Pakistani players remembered Heath Streak

Pakistani and Bangladeshi players observed one-minute silence for Heath Streak, who passed at the age of 49 on Sunday. The Zimbabwe legend lost his battle with colon cancer and breathed his last in Zimbabwe. Streak’s wife took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt note to former Zimbabwe player.

Tributes from across the globe poured for Streak and family. But Bangladeshi and Pakistani players went one step further and remembered Streak for his invaluable contribution to Zimbabwe in a 12-year-long career.

Pakistan and Bangladesh will kick off Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup today. Pakistan beat Nepal, while Bangladesh won against Afghanistan, and lost to Sri Lanka. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh will be eager to start the Asia Cup Super 4 encounter on a bright note.

After facing Bangladesh, Pakistan will take on arch-rivals India on Saturday (September 10). Last time when IND & PAK locked horns, rain had the final say.
