The first set started off with Yang securing the first three points before Rajawat opened his account. The Canadian went on to assert his dominance, taking a 2-7 lead before the Indian shuttler could manage to get his 3rd point. The first set then went on to become lopsided in favour of Yang who eventually claimed the set 21-13.

The second set saw a similar opening as the first one as Yang managed to open his account first. The set saw Rajawat attempt a valiant fightback, managing to hold his opponent to a neck-to-neck battle until the score read 11-11. Post this point, it was the Canadian once again who asserted his dominance, as he went on to outclass Rajawat. The Indian shuttler ended up losing the second set as well, as Brian Yang clinched a 21-16 win to knock Priyanshu out of the tournament.
