BGMI players in India may finally be seeing signs of something they have been asking for over the years. Krafton has rolled out a new player feedback survey, and it has quickly sparked speculation around the possible launch of BGMI Lite in India.
The survey focuses on low-end device performance, monetisation preferences, and gameplay adjustments, hinting that Krafton is at least exploring the idea of a lighter version of BGMI tailored for a wider audience. While there is no official announcement yet, the timing and nature of the questions have caught the community’s attention.
BGMI Lite After Krafton India BGMI Survey: Why It Makes Sense Now
Demand for BGMI Lite is not new. Ever since PUBG Mobile Lite shut down globally, Indian players using budget and older smartphones have repeatedly asked for an alternative that runs smoothly without heavy hardware requirements.

The full version of BGMI, while feature-rich, often struggles on low-end devices, leading to frame drops, heating issues, and longer load times.
The survey itself adds fuel to the speculation. It asks players directly whether they want BGMI Lite, along with questions about acceptable ad placements such as ads after match completion, during matchmaking on Spawn Island, or in exchange for rewards like coupon crates.
Krafton also seeks feedback on potential gameplay changes, including smaller 20-player maps, faster reload modes, temporary protective walls, and simplified mechanics designed for quicker matches.

From a market perspective, BGMI Lite makes practical sense in India. A significant portion of the player base still relies on entry-level smartphones, and a lightweight version could help Krafton expand its reach while improving player retention.
If launched, BGMI Lite could serve casual gamers without replacing the main title, creating a parallel ecosystem rather than competition.
For now, BGMI Lite remains unconfirmed. However, the survey clearly signals that Krafton is listening.
