The road to glory in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 is heating up as we move into Round 2, scheduled to take place from February 5th to February 8th, 2026. After a grueling first round that saw 1,024 teams battle for survival, the competition has been narrowed down, and the stakes are higher than ever.
BGIS 2026 Round 2: Teams
Round 1, which concluded on February 1st, was a massive test of skill and consistency. Out of the 1,024 competing teams, only 496 have secured their spots in the next stage. These qualified underdogs will now face their toughest challenge yet: the invited professional teams from The Grind.
Joining the 496 Round 1 qualifiers are 16 elite teams from The Grind:
- The Grind Group D (Top 8): Los Hermanos, Team Alpha, Meta Ninza, Phoenix Esports, Esport Social, Bot Army Esports, Mysterious4, and Team Insane Esports.
- The Grind Group C (Bottom 8): Medal Esports, Oishani Esports, Aura Esports, GlitchxReborn, Rider Esport, EGGY Gaming, 4 Wolf x DOD, and Team Altitude.

BGMI India Series 2026 Round 2: Format and Progression
The 512 total teams will be divided into 32 groups, with each group featuring a mix of Round 1 qualifiers and invited giants.
- Total Teams – 512 (496 from Round 1 + 16 from The Grind)
- Group Division – 32 Groups
- Matches per Group – 6 Matches
- Advancement – Top 7 teams per group + 16 best-performing teams overall
- Next Stage – Round 3
With only the top 7 from each group guaranteed a spot, every single elimination and placement point will be vital. The inclusion of an additional 16 “wildcard” teams based on overall standings ensures that high-performing teams in “groups of death” still have a fighting chance.
