IWL 2023: ‘Doing it to just tick the boxes’, ‘RUSHED’ Indian Women’s League
Mumbai City FC defeated Jamshedpur FC 3-1 in a playoff match at the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri, Kerala, on Tuesday to secure a spot in the AFC Champions League 2023–24. Vikram Pratap Singh (90’+4′), Alberto Noguera (70′), and Ahmed Jahouh (53′) scored goals for MCFC, while Eli Sabia (80′) headed in a goal for JFC.
Gokulam Kerala FC vs Odisha FC
Odisha FC won the competition and advanced to the Hero Super Cup 2023 final. The Kalinga Warriors made the most of the occasion by putting on a terrific performance to defeat the Blues in the club’s inaugural final versus Bengaluru FC. Odisha FC had an outstanding season, finishing with four victories, a tie, and 11 goals scored in five games.
The 2022–23 season will live long in the memory of Odisha FC supporters. For the first time ever, a Hero Indian Super League (ISL) team qualified for the playoffs. And to top it all off, they defeated Bengaluru FC to win the Hero Super Cup, giving the Bhubaneswar-based team its first trophy. They will now compete against Gokulam Kerala, the I-League 2021–22 champions, for a place in the AFC Cup group stage.
Hyderabad FC vs ATK Mohun Bagan
The Mariners, the Hero ISL winners, will probably take advantage of the chance to play in this game in order to practise for the AFC Cup play-off. ATK Mohun Bagan’s Hero Super Cup 2023 run, which had been largely forgettable, came to an end as they lost their final match, 0-1 against FC Goa.

In the Hero Super Cup 2023 matchup between Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC, Hyderabad FC struggled and fell to Odisha FC 2-1. The Nizams opened the campaign with a slim 2-1 victory over I-League team Aizawl FC, while East Bengal FC held them to a 3-3 tie.
The team led by Manolo Marquez had a strong run in the Indian Super League (ISL), finishing second in the standings with 13 victories in 20 games. Manolo Marquez wants to finish the year strong by competing for the AFC Cup.
