All matches will be played in Ahmedabad at two venues, Transstadia and the Shahibaug Police Stadium, at 8 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., respectively. AIFF is set to stream the games on the Indian football youtube Channel. IWL 2023: Indian Women’s League clubs express CONCERN over ‘MINIMUM WAGE’ POLICY, AIFF…

The All India Football Federation revealed the league stage schedule on Monday, and the first match will start off at 8 a.m., with Misaka United FC and Mata Rukmani at Transstadia and Sports Odisha taking on HOPS FC at Shahibaug. On the first day, champions Gokulam Kerala will face East Bengal with a 4.30 PM kickoff at Shahibaug police stadium.

For the first time in the competition’s history, 16 teams will compete for the top prize. These teams have been split into two groups of eight. The top four clubs from each group will proceed to the knockout stage to decide the 2023 IWL champions.

Gokulam Kerala will be drawn in Group A alongside East Bengal, HOPS, Kahaani, Mata Rukmani, Misaka United, Mumbai Knights, and Sports Odisha. Sethu will play with Celtic Queens, CRPF, Churchill Brothers, Eastern Sporting Union, Kickstart, Lords FA, and Odisha FC in Group B.

According to the Strategic Roadmap Vision 2047 that was decided on January 7, 2023, the All India Football Federation decided to take steps to reform and restructure women’s football throughout the nation. The Hero Indian Women’s League (IWL) had to be updated in order to increase economic opportunities. AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey declared that female football players must earn at least 3.2 lakh rupees annually as minimum wage.
