The wait is finally over for Summoners. Riot Games has officially unveiled Locke, the Ashen Exorcist. He joins the roster in Patch 26.13 on June 24.
Locke is a Demacian occultist with a dark history. He believes that people are the true monsters in this world. Now, he hunts the darkness one soul at a time.
League of Legends Brings New Champion: Locke, The Ashen Exorcist
Locke brings a unique, high-stakes playstyle to the mid-lane. His kit focuses on precision and aggressive execution.
- Passive (Silver Stake): Locke pins enemy souls with his attacks. This deals bonus magic damage that scales with their missing health.
- Q (Ritual Nails): Locke throws nails that mark enemies and apply slows. Attacking marked targets consumes the nails for burst damage.
- W (Soul Ignition): He unleashes his internal seals to gain movement speed. This ability drains his health but allows him to heal back damage over time.
- E (Ashen Pursuit): This blink ability allows Locke to dash to targets. It resets its cooldown whenever he secures a takedown.
- R (Purgatory): Locke’s ultimate is his most terrifying tool. He traps enemies in a binding artifact. Marked champions below a health threshold are instantly executed.

Mastering the Exorcist
Locke is designed as an AP assassin. His kit rewards players who can manage their health and cooldowns perfectly. The mechanic of his “Soul Nails” requires careful timing.
Players should expect a high skill ceiling with this champion. His ability to execute enemies makes him a massive threat in team fights.
