Netflix officially unveils FIFA World Cup – Launch Edition, a new FIFA football simulation game launching in June with future PC and console versions planned.

Following a series of speculations and rumors, Netflix has now revealed its highly anticipated FIFA game—FIFA World Cup. Although the title was first teased by the company back in December 2025, there has been little news about the game after that. Now, Netflix has confirmed that the game is very much alive and scheduled to launch in June 2026.

The game will be jointly developed by Netflix, Delphi Interactive, and FIFA.

FIFA World Cup – Launch Edition Revealed

As mentioned earlier, the coming game will be known as the FIFA World Cup – Launch Edition.

Although details about gameplay have not been disclosed yet, what has been said is that the game is going to be a FIFA-branded football simulator. It is going to usher in a new era for the FIFA series in the gaming world after its separation from the EA Sports FIFA series.

Further details about the game are likely to come up before its release.

FIFA World Cup Console and PC Versions Confirmed

One of the most unexpected revelations following the announcement was the increased reach of the game’s platforms. Initially, the title had been expected to be released exclusively on Netflix Games via mobile devices. The developers, however, were moved by the strong demand of the community to rethink their approach.

It has thus been confirmed that, following the initial mobile version, the title will eventually land on console and PC platforms too.

This greatly expands the reach of the game, making it a strong contender within the realm of football games.
