If we ask you about any game that has been in development for ages, what comes to your mind? GTA 6, isn’t it? But considering the sheer volume of anticipation and budget that game carries, somehow it justifies that much of a delay. But if we are talking about a mobile title, it is a bit hard to digest. If you guessed so far, you are correct; I am talking about VALORANT Mobile. Announced in mid-2021, we are counting days, and it’s already been five years. So, fans are genuinely asking, “Where is VALORANT Mobile, Riot Games?
VALORANT Mobile Global Release Date: What do we know so Far?
As mentioned earlier, after the initial success of VALORANT on PC, the developers of Riot pursued its mobile version and formally announced it on June 2, 2021. That time, most of us were guessing it would take around two years at max for the mobile version to be finalized. However, days passed, and we did not hear anything from the developer.
Finally, the silence broke, but not exactly in the way the global audience was hoping for. Riot Games partnered with Lightspeed Studios, the powerhouse behind PUBG Mobile, and officially launched VALORANT Mobile exclusively in China on August 19, 2025.
Before its release, Tencent and Riot revealed that they had already received 70 million pre-registrations. With the opening of the server, League of Legends mobile proved its worth. On the very first day of its launch, the iOS version apparently earned more than $1 million in revenue.
For those who had actually played the Chinese version of the game, there is nothing but praise from fans. Rather than simply making a lazy adaptation of the PC game, you will notice that Riot has created an entirely new mobile experience that keeps the same tactical excitement as close to the original one.

This includes the game’s touch-friendly interface, the replay system, the innovative ping system for the entire map, and even 120 FPS support on flagship devices.
So, where does that leave the rest of the world?
For those who have been eagerly anticipating its global launch, it seems that Riot has been targeting the latter half of 2026. So remember, either the VALORANT Masters London or the VALORANT at EWC 2026 can be an event where we can expect something from the developers themselves.
Furthermore, we have seen that former Indian VALORANT Esports players had already started coaching for VALORANT Mobile esports, like Sayabayachi “Antidote” Bose and more such players.
