BGMI New Update 4.4 Release Timeline
The BGMI 4.4 patch update is set to release gradually from May 20 onwards. Below is the release timeline of the game update:
- Google Play Store (Android): The rollout begins at 06:30 AM IST for 30% of users, expands to 50% at 09:30 AM IST, and completes a full 100% rollout by 11:30 AM IST.
- Apple App Store (iOS): The complete 100% release will be available for all Apple users at 11:30 AM IST.
- Official Website (APK): Android players who prefer a direct APK download can access the file directly from the official BGMI website starting at 12:30 PM IST.

A Guide to BGMI New update Download
Game update is an easy procedure. Just make sure to clear some storage for your device and ensure that you are connected through Wi-Fi.
For Android Users:
- Open the Google Play Store application.
- Click on your profile icon on the top right hand corner and go to “Manage apps & device.”
- Find Battlegrounds Mobile India and click update from your update list.
For iOS Users:
- Open the Apple App Store.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right and swipe down on the screen to refresh the page.
- Find BGMI under the “Available Updates” section and tap the “Update” button to start downloading.
What’s New in Version 4.4?
Erangel will have some major structural changes, where the Ruins and Ferry Pier will turn into majestic marble temples.
A whole new floating island named Hero’s Crown will be added to the game too. This will serve as a high-risk hotspot drop point, and upon landing at that point, the player gets another opportunity to recall. Lastly, the sun chariots will offer a thrilling experience for all gamers along with some new boss fights.
