Good news for fans of Clash of Clans. Supercell has officially announced the return of its esports season for 2026. This year’s competition will run for five months and will feature a huge $1 million prize pool. The update also brings new formats and more chances for players of different Town Hall levels to compete.
In this article, we will explain the tournament format, key events, and what players can expect.
TH18 World Championship Series: Schedule and Format
The main highlight of this season is the Town Hall 18 World Championship. The journey begins in May with four Monthly Qualifiers. Teams will first compete in a ladder stage. From there, the top 128 teams will move into a double-elimination bracket.
Only the best eight teams from each qualifier will reach the Monthly Finals. Here, they will fight to win a Golden Ticket, which gives them a place in the World Finals.
The World Finals will have only eight teams. These include four Monthly winners, three teams from the Last Chance Qualifier leaderboard, and one team from the China Qualifiers.
New Town Hall Cups for More Players
Supercell is also adding new Town Hall Cups for players who are not at TH18. This makes the esports scene more open and gives more players a chance to compete.
The formats are simple:
- Town Hall 9 will be played in a 2v2 format
- Town Hall 12 and 15 will be played in a 3v3 format
These cups will follow a similar structure to the main championship. They will also have a separate prize pool of $70,000. The best teams will qualify for the finals using the same Golden Ticket system.
