The Pokémon Company and Skyesports have officially announced the Pokémon UNITE World Championship Series (WCS) 2026 India Qualifier. This highly anticipated event offers a solid $25,000 regional prize pool and a direct ticket for one Indian squad to represent the nation at the WCS Finals 2026 in San Francisco, where a massive $500,000 global prize pool is on the line.
Pokémon UNITE WCS 2026 India Qualifier: Schedule and Tournament Format
Registration is now open and will officially be closed on April 22nd. Five to six-man teams may register themselves, and individuals who wish to form teams may look for teammates via the Skyesports Discord server.
The event itself will take place between April 24th to April 26th. The event starts off with a massive single elimination bracket that will span the first two days. By the end of the second day, the top eight teams will compete in a double elimination bracket on the third day for the title of best in the nation.

Prize Pool Distribution
The $25,000 prize pool will be distributed among the top six teams:
- 1st Place: $15,000 (Plus the San Francisco WCS slot)
- 2nd Place: $4,000
- 3rd Place: $2,500
- 4th Place: $1,500
- 5th & 6th Place: $1,000 each
This event underscores how much mobile esports have expanded in the region. The event is seen as so important that the CEO of Skyesports, Shiva Nandy, believes that the 2026 iteration is the fifth year in which an Indian team will be given the opportunity to showcase their skills on the world stage of the WCS.
