The upcoming feature was spotted by user u/dex3108 deep within the Steam Database backend code. The leaked text strings explicitly mention a “Framerate Estimator,” alongside some specific prompts to “Select a CPU” and “Select a GPU.”
It appears users might even be able to manually input different hardware configurations to see how a potential PC upgrade would handle a specific title before spending any money.
