On the eve of the India vs Zimbabwe clash, the ICC has released the updated T20I rankings. Two players who will play an important role for their respective sides tomorrow are in the news because of their ascension to a better place in the rankings. Sikandar Raza, the Zimbabwe captain, is now the new World No. 1 T20I all-rounder once again. He has replaced Pakistan’s Saim Ayub. Meanwhile, India’s Shivam Dube has also received a boost of two ranks as he moves from 9th spot to 7th.
Shivam Dube gets career-best rating
Shivam Dube has worked on his bowling in recent times. Under Morne Morkel, he has developed quite a few variations and can be seen clocking 130 km/h now as well. Suryakumar Yadav has used his smarts in almost all the games. Against South Africa, he was tasked to bowl against the dangerous duo of David Miller and Dewald Brevis before Dube got rid of the latter, bringing India back in the game.
In this T20 World Cup, Dube has garnered four wickets at a bowling average of 19.5 alongside making 158 runs at a strike rate of 155. This is now his career-best ranking points (216) as a T20I all-rounder. Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, is the other Indian on the list. Sikandar Raza, meanwhile, has replaced Ayub and has a great rating points at 294.
