How BGMI Skills Selection and Upgrades Work
Unlike previous modes where abilities were found as loot, the 4.3 update allows for more intentional planning. You can select your preferred skill outside of matches or right on Spawn Island before the plane takes off. This means teams can coordinate their “roles” (e.g., one Healer, two Combat, one Recon) before the first circle even closes.
Furthermore, these skills aren’t static. By fulfilling specific in-game conditions—such as assisting teammates or covering distance in vehicles—you can upgrade your specialized skills to enhance their effects, making your squad progressively more dangerous as the match reaches its final stages.
BGMI 4.3 UPDATE RELEASE TIMELINE
Based on current update trends and the typical two-month cycle for major version shifts, the BGMI 4.3 Update is expected to release in the second week of March 2026. This follows the launch of the 4.2 update in January, putting the most likely rollout window in second week of March 2026. As usual, Android users can expect the update to hit the Google Play Store early in the morning, with iOS users seeing it on the App Store by the afternoon.
