According to an official announcement released by Krafton via their social media channels, the developers identified a technical crash issue during the initial phase of the rollout.
To ensure a smooth gaming experience and prevent players from downloading a buggy version of the game that might crash repeatedly, the decision was made to halt the release immediately for both Android and iOS platforms.

Krafton released a transparent notice addressing the community regarding the situation. The official statement reads:
[Update 4.2.0] Client Rollout Delay Notice ”Hello Everyone, Due to a crash issue identified during the 4.2.0 update rollout, the client release for both Android and iOS is currently being delayed. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We will share an update on the revised rollout schedule as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.KRAFTON“
BGMI 4.2 Update Release Date and Time?
As of now, there is no confirmed time for the resumption of the rollout. The developers have stated they will share a “revised rollout schedule as soon as possible.”
Usually, when critical crash bugs are found, it can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day for the developers to patch the file and re-upload it to the app stores.
