Centre Seeks Supreme Court Consolidation of Online Gaming Act 2025 Challenges

Centre Seeks Supreme Court Consolidation of Online Gaming Act 2025 Challenges. CJI recognised the importance of the matter.

The Central Government has notified the Supreme Court that challenges to the Online Gaming Act 2025 are pending. These challenges are pending in the High Courts of Karnataka, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. Centre requested that these cases be transferred to the Supreme Court to ensure uniformity and prevent conflicting verdicts.

Supreme Court Fast-Tracks Hearing on Online Gaming Act 2025 Challenges

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) submitted a petition to consolidate all Online Gaming Act 2025 Challenges. These cases has been filed by Head Digital Works, Bagheera Carrom, and Clubboom11. Recognizing the importance and urgency of the matter, the Chief Justice of India consented to list the Centre’s application for an early hearing, with the Karnataka High Court’s session set for Monday.
