The rumours of rifts in the Pakistan cricket team have been proven right. Their assistant coach, Azhar Mahmood, came out and stated that there was no issue between the players, refuting Wasim Akram’s claim that Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi aren’t talking to each other. It turns out Mahmood was right; Babar and Shaheen don’t have an issue, but other players in the team certainly do.

Iftikhar Ahmed, who scored 5(9) in the India vs Pakistan match, doesn’t look eye to eye with Imad Wasim. Pakistan’s best all-rounder outscored him 15(23), and he bowled a great spell (3-0-17-0). He did so while carrying an injury, and what did he receive? Criticism from fans and also from his teammates.
Following Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat to India, Iftikhar took to X (formerly Twitter) and liked a post that mocked Imad’s innings. His 15-run knock was labeled as a ‘masterclass’ by the account that posted his ball-by-highlights.
