- Austin Theory Retains the WWE United States Championship
Previously, Austin Theory successfully defended the United States Championship against John Cena at WrestleMania 39. Following that, he once again successfully defended the title against Sheamus on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The same might happen this time as well.
Thus, when Austin Theory and Santos Escobar will face each other on Friday Night SmackDown this week in a title match, there’s a high possibility that Austin Theory will defeat Escobar to retain the Championship.
- Santos Escobar Becomes the New United States Champion
Previously, on the July 21, 2023, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Santos Escobar faced and defeated Austin Theory in a non-title match.
Thus, since Escobar has already defeated Austin Theory once, he might do it again, however this time for the title. Thus, Escobar might finally put an end to Austin Theory’s reign as the United States Champion and himself emerge as the new champion.
- Dominik Mysterio Interferes – Austin Theory Retains
Rey Mysterio will supposedly be present by Escobar’s side during his much-anticipated title match against Theory. However, Rey Mysterio has been feuding with his son Dominik Mysterio for a couple of months now.
Thus, Dominik Mysterio might come out during the match and attack Rey Mysterio, this will distract Santos Escobar and in the meantime, Austin Theory might pin Escobar to retain the title.
