As reported earlier, Ali took to his official Twitter handle to request WWE for a release, but as per Gightful Select’s report, WWE is not planning to grand him release at the moment.

Frightful Select has reported that WWE and Ali have been communicating over this matter, and Ali was told that he isn’t getting a release from the company. It was noted that Ali’s current contract has a few more years left in it, and the term ‘value’ got mentioned in a lot of their discussions.

It has been almost three months since we have seen Ali wrestling. He is currently a part of the Smackdown roster, which already lacks quality superstars but hasn’t wrestled since October 29, 2021.

WWE Smackdown Live: Ali and Vince McMahon had a heated argument before
Mustafa Ali and Vince McMahon had a backstage hear, and the former Cruiserweight Champion has not been seen on the show since then. Ali said that McMahon told him on his face that he is “Too polished, too clean, too nice. I don’t know if you have it in you!!”
The McMahon and Ali saga has been in the news eversince the latter asked for his release from the company. There is no specific reason why WWE isn’t granting him release, despite a heated argument with the chairman and the fact that WWE has been releasing superstars at will since April 2020.
