Additionally, Jimmy Uso will return to discuss his current dispute with his brother, Jey Uso.

John Cena Returns
This Friday night’s episode of SmackDown features The GOAT John Cena, who reportedly has a fantastic segment on the mic. He is anticipated to discuss Bray Wyatt’s passing and what a full-time schedule with the business will entail. There may be a verbal conflict between him and Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, or both, according to rumour. The segment will end with Rey and Escobar engaging in a tag team battle as Cena exits after they open fire on them.

Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar vs. Grayson Waller & Austin Theory

This enraged both. Last week, Theory and Escobar participated in a match that Rey and Waller won. They are expected to compete against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller this week in a tag team match. Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar are predicted to win the bout to send a message before Payback.
Jimmy Uso returns
Jimmy was rumoured to have returned last week, as Paul Heyman stated two weeks prior. His section was moved to this week, though. Jimmy is anticipated to address Jey’s leaving during a section with the microphone. He might attempt to persuade Jey to rejoin WWE on television, but Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa are likely to step in. This can lead to a fight or a brainwashing session.
Predictions:
Rey Mysterio (c) & Santos Escobar vs. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller [Tag Match]
In this tag team contest, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar will prevail over Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to keep Escobar moving towards becoming the U.S. Champion. Escobar did earn his opportunity at the U.S. Title by pinning Theory clean when he was the U.S. Champion and defeating Mysterio in the #1C tournament, so it would be interesting to see if he is included in the U.S. Title match between Mysterio and Theory for a triple threat at Payback.
Either by betraying Mysterio in this tag bout or by just winning this tag match to make a point, he might earn that slot. The latter is more likely given that Escobar has stated he is not betraying Mysterio because of his respect for him, making the former less likely. Since Cody Rhodes and Grayson Waller are only hosting the Grayson Waller Effect at Payback, Grayson Waller will be held responsible in this situation because the other three superstars need to maintain their momentum in the race for the U.S. Title.
