WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Mickie James announced among the 19 competitors
The announcement of 18 competitors was announced in a video package during the show when Charlotte was addressing the WWE Universe. Impact Wrestling’s knockout champion Mickie James was also announced for the match, and it would be the first time WWE will allow an active superstar on another promotion to compete in a WWE ring.

Mickie has been a former WWE Superstar and one of the veterans of the company. She was released from the company in 2021 as part of the budget cuts and joined Impact Wrestling after serving her 90-day non-competing clause. Now she will defend her title against Deonna Purrazzo at Impact’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view this Saturday.
