WWE Removed Edge from Internal roster, fans react- ‘AEW-bound’

Fan reacts to WWE Removed Edge from Internal roster

WWE: In a surprising turn of events, WWE legend Edge, whose real name is Adam Copeland, has reportedly been removed from the organization’s internal roster following the expiration of his contract. The news has sent shockwaves through the wrestling community, prompting speculation about the future of one of the industry’s most iconic figures. With Edge’s departure from WWE, fans and pundits alike are now wondering if he is AEW-bound.

Edge’s WWE Departure Sparks Speculation of AEW Move

The speculation surrounding Edge’s next move began after his highly anticipated match against Sheamus at SmackDown in Toronto last month.

Not only did the bout mark the 25th anniversary of Edge’s debut with WWE, but it also served as the conclusion of his current contract. Since then, rumors have been swirling about whether he would retire, re-sign with WWE, or potentially make a leap to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

According to PWInsider, WWE has removed Edge from their internal roster, although he still appears on the company’s official website.

This significant development indicates that WWE may be preparing for a future without the decorated superstar.

While Edge himself has denied reports of a potential departure, the persistent rumors and recent roster change lend credence to the possibility of him joining AEW.

If Edge were to make the move to AEW, it would mark the first time the WWE Hall of Famer has wrestled outside of the promotion since 1998.

Prior to signing a developmental deal with WWE in 1997, Edge competed on the independent circuit under various names, including his real name, Adam Copeland, as well as Adam Impact and Sexton Hardcastle. His potential transition to AEW would undoubtedly bring a fresh dynamic to his storied career.

Furthermore, Edge’s potential arrival at AEW would reunite him with his long-time best friend and former tag team partner, Christian Cage.

The duo, known as Edge and Christian, achieved tremendous success in WWE, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships on seven occasions.

Christian, who recently announced his signing with AEW, has already made waves in the company, managing TNT Champion Luchasaurus while also asserting himself as the TNT Champion.

The Rated R Superstar’s departure from WWE marks the end of an era and the beginning of an exciting new chapter, as fans eagerly await the next chapter in the extraordinary career of Adam Copeland, a true wrestling legend.
