Why did Dana White ban Matt Riddle from UFC?
Matt Riddle made his UFC debut in 2008 at UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter. He competed in the middleweight division during his UFC run. His first fight came at TUF against Dante Rivera where Riddle won his first debut match with a unanimous decision. Following his first win, Riddle got good recognition in the middleweight division with 3 consecutive victories before facing a loss against Nick Osipczak.

Riddle had a good UFC career with 8 wins and 3 losses but unfortunately, his journey ended after failing UFC’s drug test policy. This made a tremendous impact on his UFC career. Later, UFC president Dana White mentioned that Matt Riddle failed 3 drug tests which led to his release. The former UFC star tested positive for marijuana twice which is against the company’s policy.
In the past, Riddle has also disclosed using marijuana for health reasons. However, many consider it a false reason and also point out Riddle for his using a banned substance. After this controversy, the doors for his MMA career close completely after failing the drug test. This resulted in Riddle joining WWE and eventually becoming a top star in the world of professional wrestling.
WWE also sidelined Riddle for failing a drug test
There is no surprise Matt Riddle was caught once again for failing his drug test. In 2022, Riddle failed his two consecutive drug tests in the last six months. The former Raw Tag Team Champion was sidelined immediately after WWE’s wellness policy violation. This brought him once again on the radar due to which he was kept on the sidelines for a long time until he made his return after WrestleMania 39.

As per the reports, WWE advised him to complete rehab only after which he would be allowed to perform once again. Currently, Riddle performs on the red brand but unfortunately, WWE has sidelined him once again after a leaked video of Riddle surfaced online.
