On WWE SmackDown this week, AJ Styles, Edge, and Rey Mysterio faced each other in a Triple Threat Match as a part of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. The three legends put up a great match and AJ Styles delivered the Phenomenal Forearm to Edge for the win. Thus, Styles qualified for the Semi-finals of the tournament.
Later, in another Triple Threat Match, Bobby Lashley, Sheamus, and Austin Theory faced each other. Though Lashley was busted open during the match, he continued the bout and delivered a Spear to Theory for the win.
It was previously decided that the winners of the two Triple Threat Matches will face each other in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown. Thus Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles faced each other in the Semi-finals.

Bobby Lashley dominated AJ Styles for most part of the match. However, he was busted open once again. Toward the end of the match, Styles attempted the Phenomenal Forearm on Lashley but failed and Lashley delivered a running PowerSlam.
However, Styles once again went for the Phenomenal Forearm and nailed it for the win.
