Recently, the Scottish Warrior took to Twitter to announce his absence from the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown. He mentioned being medically unclear to compete for the title match alongside his buddy Sheamus against The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles. However, he has promised to return soon.

Drew McIntyre is one of the hardest workers in the locker room. Ever since he joined WWE back he went on a successful journey to win the NXT title followed by the WWE Title. Even WWE higher-ups are impressed with his dedication and commitment to the company. He always made himself available for the company when WWE needed him.

Moreover, WWE has put its faith in McIntyre and pushed him for many live events around the globe with his recent trip to India. Following his match at Crown Jewel, McIntyre flew to India for his Bollywood project and returned back in time for WWE SmackDown. Indeed, the former WWE Champion is dedicated to his work.
Currently, the medical reason for his absence is unclear. On the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown, he was booked to face The Usos for the tag team titles but it seems Sheamus has to find a new tag partner to deal with The Usos.
