On Monday morning, Fightful Select reported WWE put up a big money deal for WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. The report stated Austin is reportedly pitched for a WrestleMania match with no other than Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Surprisingly, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio gave an update on the ongoing speculations regarding Steve Austin’s WrestleMania opponent. He reported Roman Reigns wasn’t discussed for it instead Brock Lesnar is pitched for a dream match against the Texas Rattlesnake.
Also, he gave an update on the earlier rumored plans for Brock Lesnar featuring Gunther as a likely opponent at WrestleMania 39. Meltzer mentioned the plan was reportedly pitched and later rejected.

As noted earlier, Lesnar’s rivalry with Bobby Lashley still continues following Crown Jewel. It is predicted that both men might end up being at the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble and later on set a big match around Elimination Chamber or WrestleMania 39 precisely.

Lesnar picked up the already injured Lashley into an F-5 decimating him. Eventually, he picked up Austin Theory tossing him with an F-5 on Lashley leading him to victory. It seems the two men still have unfinished business after their 2 matches last year.
