What Happens at the WWE Draft?
The American professional wrestling organization WWE uses the WWE Draft, known as the Superstar Shake-up from 2017 to 2019, to rotate its rosters between the Raw and SmackDown brands. (2002–2011; 2016–present). In addition, NXT wrestlers from 2016 and later are eligible to be selected for Raw and SmackDown draughts. During the promotion’s various brand splits, two of WWE’s former brands, ECW (2006–2009) and 205 Live (2019), also participated in the draught.

Triple H announces WWE Draft 2023 to be held in a few weeks
On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Chief Content Officer Triple H announced the 2023 WWE Draft. WWE Universe was pleased to hear that this year Triple H will continue the draft as last year; WWE only did brand cross-overs and unified the titles.

However, this time WWE fans can expect new things as the company finally holds the first draft of 2021. Fans are excited to discover which superstars will switch brands in the upcoming weeks. Generally, it is high time WWE added NXT superstars to the main roster. After a big upset at Raw After WrestleMania, fans expect some main roster debuts from talented NXT stars such as Bron Breaker, Cameron Grimes, and more.
Usually, the company holds its annual draft around October, but since WWE missed last year’s Draft, Triple H will hold it earlier this year. Wrestling fans can expect the WWE Draft following WWE Backlash as the company heads toward its next Saudi Arabia event.
WWE Draft 2023 Live date
The dates for the much-anticipated WWE Draft have been made public. The WWE Draft Live will continue on the second night, May 1, during the Monday Night Raw episode. The event will begin on April 28 during the WWE SmackDown episode.
WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns might be stripped of one of his titles at Draft 2023
As noted earlier, the USA network demanded a main title for the Raw brand. Since Roman Reigns is the Undisputed Universal Champion and was assigned to Friday Night SmackDown, he rarely appears on the red brand.
Recent reports suggested WWE will get rid of one of the titles at the WWE Draft, relinquishing the WWE Title. Meanwhile, Triple H might hold a tournament for the WWE Title exclusive for WWE Raw. With Roman Reigns approaching the 1000-day mark, WWE may strip him following his new milestone.
