Several reports suggest that Vince McMahon has given up on Finn Balor’s push, and now the Universal Champion will be used as a stepping stone for the young talent to shine. A glimpse of this was seen last week on Monday Night Raw, where the first-ever Universal Champion lost to Austin Theory and then got humiliated once the match was over. Balor’s fans may not like the treatment he is receiving and going to receive moving forward, but as of now, this is what it is.

WWE News: Finn Balor is no longer a top draw in the company
Finn Balor has donned the hat which Jeff Hardy was donning at some point of time ahead of his unfortunate release. Jeff was purely used to put over young talents, and according to the latest reports of WrestlingNews.co, Balor will replace Hardy in that role now. The report notes,

“Yea, Finn was moved into the spot that Jeff Hardy had. He is just there now to help get over the younger guys.”
The report further suggested that there were plans to make Balor heel, but it never got the steam it had to. “There was a pitch to make him heel, but that was weeks ago, and I haven’t heard much about it since then.”

WWE News: Vince never saw Balor more than just a mid-card guy
One worrying report also suggests that Chairman Vince McMahon never saw the main event guy in Finn Balor. However, if Paul Heyman was back as the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw, Finn would have pushed him to the moon.
“Vince never saw Finn as more than just a mid-card guy. Heyman would have pushed him to the moon but Vince just never saw it.”
This news is nothing but a nightmare for Finn Balor fans. However, this is how it is going to be for now, at least till Balor and Heyman don’t get on the same show.
