Nick Khan recently discussed in an interview with Lightshed Partners the possibility of WWE’s television partner, NBCU, which holds ownership of USA Network, allowing WWE to incorporate some violent content during the third hour of Raw.

Nick said”Look, when we’re specifically talking about the 10 to 11 hour on RAW, we’re specifically talking to NBCU and ourselves about what we do what that moving forward.”

“We ask, what do we do if we tweak this, that 10 to 11 hour, it is basic cable, it’s not broadcast, as you know. We think that NBCU would be supportive, but we’re not on a final conclusion on that.”

Although WWE’s Monday Night Raw has aired on USA Network, owned by NBCU, for the majority of the past three decades, their agreement is set to expire in October 2024. Therefore, it remains to be seen if USA Network will continue to broadcast Raw after WWE begins new negotiations. Nick Khan is expected to play a significant role in this process.

WWE News Round Up:WWE and ESPN Working on Mystery Project

WWE and ESPN have intermittently collaborated over the years, and there are indications that they may embark on fresh projects soon, especially following the announcement of Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE. There are plans for WWE and UFC to establish a new enterprise later this year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, ESPN obtained licenses for past WrestleMania events to occupy airtime, and they recently dispatched Daniel Cormier to conduct interviews during WrestleMania 39 weekend. Pwinside Elite has reported that WWE and ESPN have rekindled discussions regarding a possible partnership. While there are no current plans for a weekly television series, the two parties are exploring potential joint ventures, and their negotiations are still at an early stage.
