Pat McAfee is open to words and openly brags about the things that he feels are wrong. In this case, the NFL Punter’s words have landed him under the eyes of the law, as Brett Favre accused him of defamation.
As per UK Daily Mail and NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk, the NFL great Brett Favre accused Pat McAfee, Shannon Sharpe, and Mississippi’s state auditor of defamation charges who imposed serious allegations regarding the Mississippi scandal. The three sports personalities made strict allegations regarding the misuse of federal funds of roughly $77 million intended for distribution to underprivileged families.
Brett Favre’s lawsuit mentions Pat McAfee accusing Favre of taking money away from the pockets of the needy.
“Every time his name gets brought up, we have to mention that he tied the hands of the poor people and took money right out of their pockets.”

Along with Pat McAfee, Brett Favre accused state auditor Shad White of “carrying out an outrageous media campaign of malicious and false accusations”. On the other hand, Favre accused FOX Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe of making “false and malicious statements” against him.
The full lawsuit notes several accusations imposed by Brett Favre against Pat McAfee, Shad White, and Shannon Sharpe. The lawsuit filed against the three sports-renowned personalities is considered an act of professional gain downgrading the celebrity status of Brett Favre.
As noted earlier, Favre claimed he knows nothing about the money scandal and how it came into the picture and he claimed to have returned around $1.1 million. On the other hand, the interest he earned from the payments, $228,000, was not returned.
