WWE News: Kurt Angle names three TNA stars: WWE Legend Kurt Angle is mostly known for his success in the Stamford-based promotion. During his decorated run in the company, the Olympic gold medalist has been a 5-time world champion. But despite being a huge part of WWE’s most celebrated era, Angle spent 10 years in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2006 to 2016. In fact, he has held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship 6 times which is more than his world championship runs in WWE.

While speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show,  the 53-year-old picked three wrestlers who should have had a run in the global juggernaut. Abyss, Christopher Daniels, and Kazarian were the three wrestlers he expected to end up in Vince McMahon’s brand.

“Oh, that’s hard to pick one. I will say Abyss, he did go to WWE as a producer, but he never wrestled for WWE. I thought he should have been up there,” he said. “Also, I’d say Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Those two guys were not only incredible singles wrestlers, they were incredible tag wrestlers. They had it all and those guys were incredible. I actually expected them to end up in WWE and sadly they didn’t, but they’re in AEW now, so that’s just about as good.” (H/T –RSN)

WWE News: Kurt Angle reveals WWE contacted him for a non-wrestling role at WrestleMania 39

When it comes to Kurt Angle, the man is no stranger to WWE’s biggest fight fest, WrestleMania. Having taken part in many of them, Angle knows what the event means to the promotion.

Appearing on the Wrassingh Show, the former world champion professed that WWE has contacted him to be an ambassador for WrestleMania 39.

“They’re talking about maybe me doing something at WrestleMania,” Angle said. “They are always reaching out to me to help do media and stuff like that, kind of be an ambassador for the company. I like doing that. I don’t mind because I can’t wrestle anymore. It’s just an idea. It won’t be in a wrestling capacity at all. There is nothing there yet.” (H/T – RSN)

Apart from being a multi-time champion in WWE, Kurt is also a WWE Hall of Famer. He was inducted into the prestigious class of wrestlers in 2017 by WWE Legend John Cena.
