Seth Rollins made his entrance for the bout wearing old clothing from The Shield, the stable in which he, Roman Reigns, and AEW star Jon Moxley (known as Dean Ambrose in WWE) once competed.

Rollins explained why he chose to wear the gear for this match. Rollins said, “It was something that was on my mind. Obviously, if you are going to do a tale with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, you have got to know the Shield’s history, right?”

Rollins discussed about his match at Royal Rumble against Roman Reigns whom he defeated via DQ. He said that it would have been a disservice to our fans if we hadn’t mentioned it. The more we talked about it, the more I understood it was bothering Roman. You know, there was a part of him that he hadn’t dealt with completely. It was something in there, some unrequited regret, something he had not truly addressed.

“And so the more I messed with him, the more it became a real possibility that was going to be something that would get inside of his head. Because, look, the guy’s a super athlete. He is got a lot of advantages when it comes to size and strength, but when it comes to the mental game of what we do, there’s nobody better than me. So it was maybe not a last-second call, but pretty close to it. Luckily, St. Louis is close to home and I had some backup on the way.”

Seth Rollins further added, “I made my presence in a Brock/Roman match once before at WrestleMania so who’s to say I couldn’t do it again”. He added, “But who knows? We are roughly seven or eight weeks out from WrestleMania at this point now, and so, anything can happen between now and then.”
