WWE News: This WWE news piece is related to the Universal Champion Roman Reigns and the newly crowned WWE Champion Big E. After a miraculous WWE Championship win this past week on Monday Night Raw, Big E is currently on Cloud 9 and embracing perhaps the most lucrative moment of his professional life.

WWE News: Is Big E’s WWE Title Triumph another indication of how “Overprotective” Vince McMahon is for Roman Reigns? Here’s our take

When Big E won the Money in the Bank contract on July 18 at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, everyone expected him to cash in his contract on the Universal Champion Roman Reigns as both men were on the same brand, i.e., WWE Smackdown. However, a last-minute decision to cash in on Bobby Lashley turned the tables around all of a sudden.

While speaking with Graham Matthews of Bleacher Report, Big E revealed,

When I started this loop, my intention was that I was supposed to be home Monday morning after the live event Sunday, and I realized I was going to Raw last minute,”Big E said.“That was a bit of a last-minute decision. There was also the option of maybe I go out there and do some teasing and come back later when it’s time to actually cash in or go back to SmackDown and cash in there.

He further added, “I was not really sure. It was an afternoon, that day decision, and it all happened very, very quickly. For me, it was definitely not something that was set in stone days and days ahead.

WWE News: Big E going to Raw to cash in his contract indicates how much protective Vince Mcmahon is for Roman Reigns

This isn’t a hidden fact that Roman Reigns is the Apple of Vince McMahon’s eye. The Chairman has never shied away from pushing Roman Reigns ever since 2015 and has protected his top draw at any cost.

Sending Big E to Monday Night Raw to cash in on Bobby Lashley is a sheer example of how much the Chairman relishes protecting Roman Reigns. He wants to give him all the spotlight to elevate right at the top, and some even call Vince McMahon to be overprotective for Roman Reigns.

Big E never had a real build-up or didn’t give any clue that he would cash in on Bobby Lashley. After winning the contract, he was seen teasing Roman’s special counsel Paul Heyman in numerous segments, which clearly indicated that he might go after the Universal Championship. But thanks to the Chairman’s sudden change of plans, Big E was sent to Monday Night Raw to cash in his contract.

WWE News: Will we see Big E vs. Roman Reigns in the future

It would have been fugitive to witness Roman Reigns and Big E battling for the Universal Championship. However, as of now, this match looks gloomy. Big E has now officially moved to the Red brand and reunited with his New Day brothers Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns with his Bloodline The Usos is still on the Blue brand, and the two champions could only square off at the Survivor Series PPV scheduled for November at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. There are speculations that WWE might go for The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso) vs. The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods).

Also, we could witness the traditional Champion vs. Champion match for brand supremacy where the top champion from Smackdown i.e., Roman Reigns, may collide with the premiere champion from Raw i.e., Big E. However, this could only happen if both the champions could hang on with their titles until the Survivor Series PPV.
