WWE Day 1 Matches and Segments

WWE Championship- Big E vs. Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens vs. Brock Lesnar- Time for the main event. Time for the fatal 5-way WWE Championship match. As soon as the bell rang, Brock Lesnar got attacked by Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, meanwhile, Bobby Lashley and WWE Champion Big E fight it out against each other.

Lashley and Big E went brawling outside the ring, meanwhile, in the ring, Brock Lesnar was giving Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins a ride to the Suplex City. Brock was laying waste all over Owens and Rollins, but Big E came from behind and rocked Lesnar with a clothesline. Another clothesline and Big E sent Brock tumbling outside the ring. Big E then went outside and wanted to work on Lashley, but the latter caught him, hoisted him on the shoulders to stuck him face-first into the ring post.

Bobby got the momentum and he saw Lesnar outside the ring. Without wasting any further time, he nailed a vicious spear through the barricade on the Beast Brock Lesnar. Seth and Owens then worked the match all throughout as a unit and made sure both Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley were kept quiet, they used the steel stairs to dismantle both the giants.

After humbling both Lesnar and Lashley, the three men were in the ring and fighting each other. They were delivering their offense perfectly on each other and it seemed like the fatal 5-way just became a triple-threat.

As all the three men were going after each other, all of a sudden Brock intervened and delivered devastating F5s on all the three superstars. Right after he was done with F5s, Lashley launched another spear on Brock and went for a pin which the Beast survived.

All of a sudden, Big E re-entered the scene and delivered a Big Ending on Lashley. He tried hitting the same on Brock, but the Beast got out of his grip and delivered an F5 to pin him and become the new WWE Champion.

Raw Women’s Championship- Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch: Time for the Raw Women’s Championship match.

The two ladies started off with a wrestling lock before Becky slapped Liv on her face and the latter returned the favor with a face-first on her knees. Feeling the effect of the face-first, Becky went outside the ring near the announce table. Liv followed her and slammed her face multiple times on the announce table.

Liv then sent Becky inside the ring, but she rolled outside from the other side. Liv was all over Becky and was wearing her down with ease. Her offense stunned Becky every now and then, but Becky wasn’t able to counter those offenses with ease.

We saw Liv going for a disarmer (Becky’s move) and then placing her own submission hold, however, Becky survived it. The action continued and now we saw Becky getting into the match. She opened up with her offense and placed a leg drop from the top turnbuckle on Liv who was hanging on the middle rope.

Becky was placing her offense perfectly on Liv, but Liv wasn’t going down easy as she was placing her offense whenever she was getting a whisker of a moment. In one of the most interesting moves, we saw the two ladies fitting it out on the top turnbuckle, that is when Morgan slid down and nailed a perfect and unique sunset Powerbomb. She went for a quick cover but Becky kicked out.

Becky then smartly placed her disarmer, Liv felt the pain and was screaming in agony but she put her left leg on the bottom rope and escaped the submission. Once again the two ladies were going after each other and not giving each other any moment of respite. We saw Becky slamming Liv’s head multiple times on the announce table at one stage but getting bashed into the steel stairs. Liv then placed her left arm between the ring post and steel stairs and stomped on her arm.

The two ladies once again were back in the ring firing their offense. The intensity was the same and we saw Liv closing off on her finisher to put away Becky, but the champ converted into a manhandle slam hold and placed it perfectly. That was it. Becky went for a cover and defeated Liv Morgan to retain her title.

Edge vs. The Miz: Time for Edge vs. The Miz and the Rated-R Superstar made his way to the ring with The Brood’s theme. Goosebumps!

The match started with Edge and Miz locking up before Miz flooring Edge with a hip toss and pumping up as if that was it. He was trying to take the crowd behind him, but no one was cheering for Miz. Edge returned the favor to the Miz with two hip tosses on the trot.

Edge was in control now and tried to put an end to the match early by going for a Crippler Crossface. However, The Miz didn’t let that happen and survived the scare even before it was locked in. The match continued and the two men were exchanging their offenses.

We saw Edge sending Miz outside the ring near his wife Maryse. Edge followed him only to get distracted by Maryse. The distraction led Miz to send Edge face-first into the ring post. Miz got the opening and was wearing down the Hall of Famer. The action moved in the ring and Miz was seen working on Edge’s left knee.

The Miz was working perfectly on Edge’s knee but the Rated-R Superstar came back strong when Miz bumped into the corner and got caught by Edge from behind. Edge floored him with a head-first onto the mat and was into the match and in the process again.

After going back & forth with their respective offense, both men moved outside the ring and Miz slammed his face multiple times on the announce table. He laid Edge on the table and tried hitting a skull-crushing finale on the table, but Edge countered and slammed Miz face-first on the announce table.

The action moved into the ring again, we saw Edge going for a crossbody dive and placed it perfectly. The offense continued and we saw Miz putting a Figure 4 perfectly on Edge, but the Rated-R Superstar didn’t give up. Miz tried hard putting Edge down with a Figure 4 but the Hall of Famer survived again and again. Edge then placed a crippler crossface and Miz was almost about to tap out, but Maryse held Miz’s leg from the outside and placed it on the bottom rope without the referee noticing the act.

In the closing moments of the match, we saw Edge bumping into the corner post while attempting a spear. When he was hanging on the corner, Maryse slapped Edge and Miz placed a Skull Crushing Finale. He went for a pinfall, but Edge survived. This let Miz & Maryse in shock and all of a sudden an irate WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix standing on the ramp staring at Maryse.

She started walking and followed Maryse all around the ring before Maryse left the scene in fear of Phoenix, meanwhile the Miz got stuck with a vicious spear from Edge.

They weren’t showing any respect to the Legendary Killer. Dawkins and Ford were tagging each other simultaneously and at one point we saw Ford dancing before Randy Orton and the latter was only looking at him.

Ford and Randy exchanged a few blows and in the process, Ford kept mocking Randy. However, Randy’s offense was too good for Ford and Randy then tagged Riddle. In the closing moments of the match, we saw Ford taking a high-risk maneuver as he ran and dived from the top of the corner post on the outside on both Randy & Riddle. When we thought The Street Profits were about to topple the Raw tag-team champions, Riddle and Dawkins brawled outside, meanwhile in the ring, Randy took care of Ford. Moss ran into McIntyre’s gut not once but twice in the corner. However, when he attempted the same for the third time, Drew escaped harm’s way and Madcap met face-first with the middle turnbuckle. This gave the Scottish Warrior the much-needed opening and he started with his offense again.

He went for a neck breaker, hit a whopping spinebuster, and also hit a future shock DDT. After all the action, Drew McIntyre took Moss to the top turnbuckle, but Moss unsettled him and he was upside down on the top turnbuckle.
