WWE Day 1: All you need to know about WWE Day 1- On the very first day of 2022, WWE is hosting a PPV event named WWE Day 1.- This would be the first time when the company will be hosting a PPV event on new year’s day, and we all are pretty excited about the event. WWE Day 1 PPV will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and superstars from both Raw & Smackdown will be competing in the PPV event, just like any other WWE PPV.

Talking about the streaming details, Peacock Network will be streaming the event live in the United States, whereas, the WWE Network will stream it live elsewhere. Indian viewers can enjoy the show live on Sony Sports channels Ten 1/HD (English), Ten 3/HD (Hindi), and Ten 4/HD (Tamil & Telugu) on Sunday, January 2 at 6:30 AM IST.

WWE Day 1: History in the making

Saturday, January 1, 2022, will be a history in the making as this would be the first time WWE will be hosting a PPV event on new year’s day. To hist this event, WWE nixed plans for the TLC PPV, rumored to take place on December 12, 2021.

Therefore, besides NXT WarGames (not the main roster PPV), no other PPV event has been scheduled for December. However, the Royal Rumble event that usually takes place in January will go ahead as per plans and will be hosted on January 29 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.

WWE Day 1: Matches announced

Below are the matches announced for the WWE Day 1 PPV event, which is scheduled to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • WWE Championship- Big E (c) vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
  • Universal Championship- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Edge vs. The Miz
  • Smackdown Tag-Team Championship- The Usos (c) vs. The New Day
  • Raw Women’s Championship- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan
  • Madcap Moss vs. Drew McIntyre
