WWE Day 1: Riddle tested positive for COVID-19?- COVID 19 pandemic has returned, and it seems like it has already nixed some plans regarding WWE Day 1 PPV event. Heading into the new year’s PPV event, WWE was hoping to have the Raw tag-team championship defended at the Day 1 PPV event, but due to the sudden absence of Riddle, the plans seem to be nixed. 

WWE Day 1: Riddle tested positive for COVID-19? Riddle, one-half of the Raw tag-team Champions, wasn’t there on Raw last week. He is expected to miss the WWE Day 1 go-home edition of the show as well. It is unclear what his situation is, but it was previously reported that numerous WWE talent and staff tested positive for COVID-19 (Omicron variant) after the last Holiday Tour loop. He could be among those who tested positive, and there is a fear that he might miss Day 1.

WWE Day 1: How will Riddle’s absence affect the plans of WWE Day 1

Riddle and Randy Orton were all set to defend their Raw tag-team titles at the PPV event. However, with Riddle’s sudden absence from Monday Night Raw, it seems like WWE will have to drop this proposed match. As per Wrestling Observer Newsletter,

“The original idea was Riddle & Randy Orton defending the tag titles against the winners of a tournament that came down to Rey & Dominick Mysterio vs. The Street Profits. The match was to be on 12/13 Raw, but Montez Ford has been unavailable for the past two weeks, and the match was announced for 12/27 in Detroit, but at press time, the match was no longer being advertised. At press time, we were told it is unclear if that match will happen or not.”

WWE Day 1: Riddle is yet to speak on his sudden absence

Riddle’s sudden absence is raising eyebrows of the WWE Universe. However, the Original Bro is yet to address the situation. It remains unclear when he will return. As of now, the match seems to be nixed, and we will keep you updated with Riddle’s condition.
