Wrestlers Protest LIVE: The Wrestlers’ Protest took a fresh turn late on Wednesday after Bajrang Punia and Co clashed with the police at Jantar Mantar. In a violent ruckus, the wrestlers claim drunk Delhi Police assaulted them with one of the protestors being seriously injured in the ensuing chaos. The incident happened after 10:30 PM IST, with the wrestlers and the police involved in a scuffle at Jantar Mantar. It happened as players were laying beds to spend another night on the street in their fight for justice. A wrestler at the protest was seen bleeding from his forehead in the ensuing chaos. Female wrestlers were also verbally abused by the police, with wrestlers claiming they were drunk on duty.

AAP MLA from Malviya Nagar Somnath Bharti claimed that he was detained by officials for providing protesting women wrestlers with foldable cots and merely fulfilling their demands. The scuffle comes hours after IOA chief PT Usha met the wrestlers and assured the wrestlers her support in their fight for justice.
